Sarah went to Chandler High School in Chandler, AZ where she earned college credit while in high school, graduated with honors and went on to be accepted and receive scholarships to a multitude of universities. She decided upon Barrett, The Honors College of Arizona State University where she is majoring in Supply Chain Management and Finance. She is currently working on her undergraduate thesis. Sarah will graduate in 2015 having earned her degrees in three years and will continue her education by working to obtain her masters.
Sarah is no stranger to being a busy person and involving herself in extracurricular activities. She is a trained dancer (ballet, tap, jazz, etc.) who has worked with professional dance companies and teams, won awards and competitions. After high school she was offered a job at The Dance Loft in Gilbert, AZ teaching jazz, lyrical and musical theater as well as choreographing for their competition and performance teams. She was a varsity cheerleader in high school and has gone on to be offered jobs as a high school cheer coach and choreography. When she is not teaching and choreographing for others, she tries to find time for herself in the studio to just dance on her own and continue training for whatever opportunities that lie ahead.
While being a full time student Sarah is also President of the ASU Programming and Activities Board, one of the largest student run organizations on campus. Where she plans concerts for famous Grammy winning and nominated artist; works with companies like Samsung, Coca Cola, Geico and others who want to come to ASU as a revenue generator. Before she was President she was the Business Relations Director and the youngest person in the organization. As well as she is the Project Management Intern for Ports America, a stevedoring and terminal shipping company. While with the company Sarah has been able to work in dealings of both the company’s finance and operational components in an effort to improve the company’s overall efficiency and productivity.
On top of all of that Sarah is the President of the Salt River Valley General Baptist Youth Convention, currently serving her second term. She works with youth ranging from the ages of 3 to 24 throughout the year at meetings, events, outreach programs and more. On behalf of the youth convention she travels to national events to represent the youth of her state convention. Sarah has always had a way with kids, where they are just naturally attracted to her, making it really easy for her to love her position. If this is not enough, Sarah also serves as the Youth President of Ideal Missionary Baptist Church, Tucson, AZ where she is a member.
With a persevering and determined person like Sarah, skies the limit for the infinite amount of opportunities that potentially lie ahead for her.
